We had another busy September wedding weekend which included Laura & Charlie’s ceremony and reception at the beautiful Belvedere Banquets in Elk Grove Village. Orla and her staff are always a pleasure to work with and the room has such an elegant atmosphere including a spiral staircase which DJ Jay Sims used for the Bridal Party Introductions. Our Elegant Event Lighting team also provided a gorgeous backdrop with pink uplighting to further enhance the space.
Maid of Honor Cami, was a former bride of Jay’s, so as a surprise he played her first dance song “You” by Bonnie Raitt so she and husband Phil could share a special moment together. Photographer Kelly Vanderploeg captured the evening with her photojournalistic style as guests danced the night away. And at the end of the night we captured a photo of our 2 lovely couples with Jay.

Last Year's Most Popular Wedding Date: 10-10-10!
One of our most popular wedding dates of 2011 has finally arrived…that’s right: 9-10-11!
When couples pick the day to wed, they might consider when their first date took place, or their lucky number, or a time of year with perfect weather for those outdoor pictures.
But occasionally, a perfect date jumps off the calendar page purely for its novelty. Who could forget last year’s most popular date of 10-10-10! When that unusual sequence of numbers also falls on a weekend, you can bet those in the wedding industry will be extremely happy.
This year, that must-have date is 9/10/11, closely followed by 11-11-11!!!
So what could the third most popular date be? 12-31-11–not only does it fall on a Saturday this year, but it is a great way to celebrate with friends and family and welcome in 2012, with all of your loved ones surrounding you…I cannot think of a better way to ring in the new year.

Elegant Event Lighting: Ceiling Canopy, Ivory Backdrop, Room Uplighting and gorgeous White Dance Floor
Tracy & Matt’s August 26, 2011 wedding couldn’t have been more picture perfect! The weather was beautiful for an outdoor Ceremony at the gorgeous Bolingbrook Golf Club where our bride Tracy entered on a horse and carriage! Talk about unique!
Tracy has loved horses her whole life and she shared with me that since she was a little girl it was always her dream to ride in on a horse on her wedding day. DJ Jay Sims provided the music and coordination for both ceremony & reception along with the lighting and decor from our sister company Elegant Event Lighting. Jay worked closely with Tracy to bring her vision to life which included an Ivory Backdrop, White Dance Floor, Ceiling Canopy and Amber Uplighting around the room.
Tracy & Matt’s first dance was also very creative. Jay had the couple record personal messages to one another that were played before their First Dance. Our amazing Videographer, Robert Mazur with R.E.M. Video captured every moment!
Tracy & Matt’s guests danced the night away and after working up quite an appetite they were treated to a delicious Flambe’ Dessert Table and late night snacks!
It truly was a Fairy Tale wedding just as Tracy & Matt imagined it!
