Summer in Chicago is such a fun time of year. There is so much to do and see in our beautiful city…from Millennium Park, to countless outdoor festivals and museums, baseball, and let’s not forget the delicious food.
When planning your Chicago Style Wedding be sure to share your favorite things about the city with your guests. Chicago Landmarks as table numbers, Garrett Popcorn for your guests to enjoy or even bags of peanuts would showcase a fun Chicago vibe.
And don’t forget the cake! One of my favorites this year was the Chicago Skyline Cake!
It was another gorgeous day on August 11, for Heather & Greg’s Ceremony & Reception at Two Brothers Roundhouse in Aurora. Something 2 Dance 2 Chicago Wedding DJ Jay Sims, provided his services for both the outdoor ceremony & reception.
This is one unique venue, especially if you have a passion for hand crafted beers, unique architecture and delicious food. Nicole and her staff at Roundhouse are always so helpful and they truly care about the success of every wedding.
So if you are still searching for a unique space for your wedding, look no further. For more information on Roundhouse please visit: www.twobrothersroundhouse.com
I thought it would be fun to share some unique wedding cake photos that I have seen this past summer…from cupcake towers to monogrammed tiered cakes, the possibilities are endless.
Do you have a favorite local bakery? Find out if they do wedding cakes. I was so excited to see that my favorite place for treats Magnolia Bakery, also makes wedding cakes. And always make sure when selecting your cake that it tastes as good as it looks!
It was another gorgeous day on July 28, for the wedding ceremony & reception of Maureen & Greg at the beautiful Herrington Inn in Geneva. DJ Jay Sims provided the music and coordination for their beautiful outdoor ceremony, and was also their DJ and Master of Ceremonies for the reception.
Floral Designer Casey Murdough of The Elegant Petal provided lovely baby pink and ivory centerpieces that were pin-spotted by our team at Elegant Event Lighting. We also carried Maureen & Greg’s color palette throughout the room with baby pink uplighting and as the cherry on top of the sundae, Maureen & Greg’s names were illuminated on the brick wall for all guests to enjoy.
Thank you to Deanne Mitchell and her wonderful staff at The Herrington Inn for always being such a pleasure to work with and for helping our team create the wedding of Maureen & Greg’s dreams!
