In honor of Sunday’s Academy Awards, I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite wedding songs from the big screen.

“One Hand One Heart” from West Side Story. If you love musicals this is a beautiful Ceremony Song for Unity Candle or Processional.

“Grow Old with You” from The Wedding Singer. I have had several couples select this for their First Dance or Cake Cutting Song. Simple and sweet and Adam Sandler on vocals, what more could you ask for?

“Summer Nights” from Grease. Who could resist a girls vs guys rendition of this classic. A fun way to get your guests to interact. Who doesn’t love a sing along song?

“Stayin Alive” from Saturday Night Fever. This Bee Gees 1970’s classic works well for young and old alike. Your guests can show off their disco moves a la John Travolta.

“Shout” from Animal House. This Otis Day and The Knights classic is a must play at any wedding reception if you want your guests to get out of their chairs, jump around, land on the floor and have an all-around great time.

“The Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing has to be one of the most requested Last Dance songs at our weddings. We have even had a few Something 2 Dance 2 bride and grooms learn the dance, complete with lifting the bride over head! A great way to end your wedding celebration!

Enjoy Sunday’s Oscars and let Hollywood inspire your wedding play list!
