The beautiful Rainbow Room at Hotel Baker in St. Charles
We had the pleasure of spending our Sunday afternoon at Hotel Baker’s Wedding showcase, and would like to thank Liz Weber and her wonderful staff for putting together such an amazing event for local wedding vendors and future Brides & Grooms. Guests enjoyed a wine tasting in the Rainbow Room which was beautifully decorated in purple (our favorite color!), by Liz and her staff along with a gorgeous Head Table Centerpiece provided by Town & Country Gardens. Something 2 Dance 2 DJ Entertainment provided the music in the Rainbow Room and was joined by Kelly Vanderploeg Photography.
The Waterfront Room overlooking the lovely Fox River was all abuzz with a slide show provided by Alex Claney Photgraphy and a delicious ice cream sundae bar provided by Coldstone Creamery. Guests enjoyed stepping outside on the Waterfront Patio to enjoy their wine or ice cream.
The St. Charles Room was also filled with wonderful wedding vendors. Rolf’s Patisserie provided gourmet pastries and Wedding Cake for all to enjoy. Jim from JP Jewelers provided custom designed rings, and Classic Chassis provided the most beautiful Red Rolls Royce parked right outside of Hotel Baker for our couples to check out.

Hotel Baker Rainbow Room
On July 22, the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council held our annual evening event at the beautiful Hotel Baker. Hotel Baker is a hidden gem in the Fox Valley and is a favorite of ours! Owner Rowena Salas and Catering Managers Liz and Mary made everyone feel like VIP’s for the evening in the gorgeous Waterfront Room overlooking the Fox River. Chef David Hassan of Hotel Baker’s Rox City Grill prepared a mouth watering menu for us including made to order crab cakes, avocado spring rolls, beef tenderloin sliders, pacific rim salad (complete with chopsticks!), and everyone’s favorite dessert…a chocolate fountain! The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was amazing!
Any Bride looking to have her “dream” wedding should definitely visit Hotel Baker’s upcoming Wedding Showcase at Noon on Sunday August 22nd, 2010. A delightful afternoon is planned with amazing vendors (including Something 2 Dance 2), cake tastings, and tours of the beautiful Rainbow Room, Waterfront Room and Rose Garden. Thank you to Liz, Mary, Karen and Jack at Hotel Baker in St. Charles for hosting another wonderful Bridal Tasting. Jay & I enjoyed spending time with our upcoming Hotel Baker Brides and Grooms. The Rainbow Room was adorned with beautiful flowers, linens and decor provided by The Elegant Petal, Elizabeth Wray Design and Town and Country Gardens…all amazing floral designers who we at Something 2 Dance 2 have had the pleasure of working with over the years. The Waterfront Room was filled with delicious treats and gorgeous cakes provided by Rolf’s Patisserie, along with a mouth watering ice cream bar provided by Cold Stone Creamery…what guest wouldn’t love to create there own creamy concoction!
The historic Hotel Baker is a hidden gem in downtown St. Charles, and is the perfect location to create the Wedding of your dreams. Have your Ceremony in the gorgeous Rose Garden along the Fox River, and dance the night away on an illuminated dance floor in the Rainbow Room…the possibilities are endless.
